Hello! I'm Rocco Miceli, a 21-year-old software developer with a lifelong passion for coding and cybersecurity. My journey in computer science began in the 5th grade, where my curiosity drove me to explore the endless possibilities of technology. This early start ignited a desire to innovate and create, leading me to work on several projects that have honed my skills and expanded my horizons.
Over the years, I've built a robust foundation in various programming languages and technologies through self-directed learning and practical application. My expertise includes developing scalable and efficient applications, implementing security best practices, and continuously immersing myself in the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity.
Most of my time now goes into Aquadratic, a merchant-of-record platform I founded and run. Real money moves through it, so it has to be built carefully: an append-only ledger that always balances, idempotent payment webhooks across card, PayPal, and crypto, sales tax calculated and remitted per jurisdiction, dispute handling, and a risk system that holds suspicious orders before anything ships. Security went from an interest to a daily responsibility, with 2FA, role-gated sessions, and audit trails on every login.
Outside of that I'm building Jarvis, a voice assistant that runs entirely on my own machine with wake word detection, GPU speech recognition, and a local language model. I also spend time in Blender doing 3D modelling and rigging.
I take pride in my ability to work both independently and collaboratively, bringing a strong work ethic and attention to detail to every project. My professional journey is fueled by a commitment to continuous learning and growth, which drives me to seek out new challenges and opportunities.
